Tony Black
Creator of The X-Cast and devoted X-Phile since around 1994, Tony is one of those people with too many ideas and far too little time. A writer, frequently working on blog pieces, reviews and articles for a variety of sites, not to mention his first novel for an online startup fiction company. A podcaster, having founded the Black Hole Media podcast network where The X-Cast features alongside other shows involving film, TV and current affairs. On top of all this, he's planning a wedding. His own, not someone else's.

I live in the West Midlands in England with my family. I've been a fan of The X-Files since Season 3, and for a while I was utterly obsessed with the series, and thought about little else. There are all sorts of reasons why I love the show - I've never found anything else that I admire in quite the same way. My interest in The X-Files did wane for a few years, but the announcement of Season 10 changed all that. Since then, I've got involved with the X-Cast team, and it's been a real pleasure. My favourite episode (currently) is Home.
I've been obsessed with The X-Files ever since its original run. Every week, I'd be sitting in front of the television with a blank tape ready to record the latest episode. I even had a special green notebook with a big X on the front to keep track of the episode titles and which tape they were on. If I saw anything with an alien or an X on it, it went into my collection. I got my start as a writer through reading and writing X-Files fan fiction which will never ever see the light of day. However, the show was a huge influence on me creatively. I always write stories with a paranormal take on the ordinary. The X-Files taught me the Truth Is Out There and I enjoy exploring that idea in my books. I'm so happy to have found my fellow Philes at The X-Cast blog and podcast! My favorite episode is "Quagmire."

I've been a fan of The X Files since the early days of season 2 on when it was shown on BBC2 back in the 1990s. I stuck with the show all the way until around season seven when I went off to university and my interest waned. But my love for the show never faded completely and I've continued to rewatch old episodes many times, including those I missed the first time round. When the announcement came about season 10, I unpacked my DVDs and started another rewatch, revisiting multiple episodes of The X Files for The Digital Fix, and then continued past the revival to the very end, where I caught the interest of The X Cast and began writing for them too. It's a pleasure to chat about, write about and generally share my love of the X Files with everyone on the site and it's something I plan to continue doing all the way to season 11 and beyond. My favourite episode is Triangle...

I hadn't seen The X-Files prior to 2008's "I Want to Believe," and it's fair to say that film made me a fan. In college, a friend and I watched the entire series through. I discovered The X-Cast through a blog shortly after the premiere of Season 10, and was invited on as a guest contributor/blogger. It's great to have a community of fans with whom I can discuss the show we love, and I'm looking forward to Season 11.
